Lesly and Danielle's House - April 26, 2008

Restaurant - Lesly and Danielle's House

Review:
x 1000

I don't know if there are enough beets in the world.

Atmosphere:
house like

Homey

Service:

I don't think there was service & it was buffet style.

I had to serve myself, clear my own plates and box my own leftovers. Also, I had to rummage for silverware.

Food:

It just tastes so good when it hits the lips.

Delicious, per usual. Half the time I never know what I'm eating, but it's always delicious.

APPROVED!:

3 different kinds of fried sausage. And foods I have never even heard of before were delicious. Also Dave's desserts.

Chicken, Sausage, Rice, Plantains, Sugar Cookies, etc. etc. etc.

Not approved:

Nothing. Nothing at all.

Why does Dave keep making deserts I don't like?!!?

Intend to return?:

God I hope I'm invited back!

NO! Just kidding. It's what I live for.

810 Zone - April 15, 2008

Atmosphere:
Sports Bar. Need I say more?

Definitely the place to go to see lots of semi hot guys, but don't expect them to pay attention to you. They are too busy with their sports.

Service:

Really good except the server acted like she knew me and was getting all personal, it was weird. Even weirder was when she showed up at my house later...stalker!

It was really good until the time she took our glasses to refill our drinks, then came back and set the wrong drink in front of me. TOTALLY unacceptable.

Food:

Not bad. Sadly I think I enjoyed my salad more than the burger and the burger was the whole reason for going.

The burger was definitely better the next day. I don't know what my beef is with beef lately.

APPROVED!:

DESSERT! It was the best brownie sunday ever! happy birthday to me!

Chocolate.Dessert.

Not approved:

The loudness.

HUBAR! being distracted by the TVs

Intend to return?:

As long as my roommate works there, yes.

Maybe if I start caring about sports.

Atmosphere:
At first when I walked in I thought it reminded me of Acme Gift in Manhattan which is good. Then it kinda reminded me of a preschool which is bad.

Kinda cool and kinda weird all at the same time.

Service:

Great! Especially when she brought us drinks during dessert even though we said we didn't need more. She was right we were wrong. I kinda wish I hadn't been rude to her when I had some personal shit to take care of on the phone.
Service-tacular

Food:

Good. I thought the chicken was a little dry/bland but still really good. I liked the Boulevard Beer Cheese Soup.

The pasta salad had cinnamon or something similar on it. While I like cinnamon, it does NOT belong on pasta salad. I wish I would have gotten the soup. I liked my pita though.

APPROVED!:
DESSERT! Mostly cause I apparently did not read the menu to know that it came w/ the meal. So that was a nice surprise.

Dessert included in the meal price. Hell yeah!

Not approved:

Lontee and me not realizing we had different picture puzzles and just thinking that the other person was nutty.

Walking all the way over there to discover the place we were going to go was closed. Also missing the phone call from HUBAR! to inform me of that.

Intend to return?:
It was an accident to be there this time(cheesehead is closed?!?!), but it won't be next time.

I don't know if I would go out of my way to go back there, but it's a decent option if you are in the area.
